Our Vision

People want to feel connected to something larger: they want to be part of a community. By connecting you to places, experiences, and the people who are the heart of Alpharetta, the Alpha Loop gives us that opportunity. On the surface, we are building a network of urban pathways. In reality, we are transforming Alpharetta and creating something much more meaningful.

Reaching The Destination

There is always a cost to doing something meaningful. The City of Alpharetta builds the trail; the Foundation raises the money for what turns 12 miles of pathway into a place people love: public art, lighting, wayfinding, and events like Lights on the Loop. While a significant portion of the funding is expected to come from external sources such as grants, developer contributions, and support from entities like the Atlanta Regional Commission and the North Fulton Community Improvement District, the generosity of community members like you will play a critical role in funding the project.

More than $5 million in outside funding has already been invested in planning and constructing parts of the system, and the City has $7.5 million in bond funds set aside for the Alpha Loop.

The goal of the Alpha Loop Foundation is to raise at least $3 million to help speed construction of the Alpha Loop and more quickly realize Alpharetta’s vision for being a truly connected community.
